Anne Gribbons was teaching a clinic at Alyssa’s barn several years ago, and she saw Alyssa schooling Lambada. Anne convinced Alyssa to sell Lambada to her student, Nikki Scarpino, and after watching Nikki and Lambada together, it seemed like a perfect fit. Lambada was Third Level, schooling the beginnings of collection for passage and pirouettes, so it was early in the training for Alyssa to want to sell, but Alyssa had a great feeling about the combination. That feeling turned out to be true, as Nikki has done a fabulous job training and developing Lambada. They placed 4th at NAJRYC in the Young Rider division in 2018, and they placed 3rd in Young Riders at the Festival of Champions in 2018. They went on to be named to a Nations Cup for the USA at U-25. They won CDIs at U-25, and they competed through Grand Prix before Lambada was lovingly retired to with Nikki’s family at the top of her game.
