Batavio is a stunningly beautiful horse with beautiful proportions and a striking presence. He shows world class talent with three super gaits with natural balance and self carriage.

He is sired by the legendary Benicio. Benicio won the 2011 German Bundeschampionate for the six year old dressage horses and the Stallion Performance Test at Schliekau with perfect 10’s for walk, trot and canter. His final score for the dressage section, 9.88, superseded even that of his father and is the highest score ever achieved in the history of the stallion performance test. With these scores, combined with his faultless rideability and character, this incomparable stallion has captivated the European dressage and breeding community.

Pedigree

Sire

Erdinger took his 14-day test in Neustadt (Dosse) in 2017 where he finished the test as clear victor of the dressage index with top scores: a 9.5 for trot and an 8.87 in total. We eagerly await his first crop in 2018.

The sire Escolar, who characterized Erdinger clearly, was twice Bundeschampion of young stallions under Hermann Burger in 2012 and 2013. In the meantime, he is victorious up to Inter I classes under Hubertus Schmidt. Just recently they placed second in the 2017’ Nürnberg Burg Trophy in Frankfurt. Everywhere, his offspring attract attention as far above-average dressage horses, who dominate the national championships and Bundeschampionate, and place their sire on a top position in the predicted breeding value statistics. The dam produced also the licensed son Puerto Rico (by Peking) and other dressage and show jumping horses for the upper classes, such as Davy Jones (by Don Laurie I) under Victoria Suppert, who succeeded internationally up to Inter II level, or Fernando (by Fürst Piccolo), who was finalist at the foal championship in Lienen and is now on the way into the grand dressage arena.

The stallion performance test winning dam’s sire Contender is one of the most demanded and most proven sires in Germany. His offspring earned prize money of more than 9.3 million Euro in all disciplines. Nearly 130 sons are licensed in Germany alone. The great grandsire Coriander is well-known for the versatility of the Holsteiner horse. As successful grand prix horse, he is distinguished with an outstanding jumping-ability and is esteemed as sire of the very best Holsteiner talents.

Dam

Damsire, Furst Heinrichn died in an accident as a 7-year old. He was a Westphalian bred stallion by Florestan I out of Dawina (by Donnerhall x Weinberg). He was bred by Heinrich Ramsbrock from Menslage, Germany. As a two-year old, Furst Heinrich was presented at the 2000 Westfalian stallion licensing and became a premium stallion. Gestut Sprehe purchased the black stallion in the after-sales.

In 2001, Furst Heinrich won the 30-day Stallion Test at Munster/Handorf. In 2003, he became World Young Horse Champion. At the 2005 Westfalian “Vorauswahl” (the preselection for the auction), 19 Furst Heinrich offsprings were presented and seven were accepted for the licensing.
