Geronimo R is a horse with a lot of presence and powerful, supple gaits. He has a huge, elastic trot with great a great engine, and his canter is scopey and expressive. His walk is clear and ground covering. He is a very exciting horse for the future, showing great talent for piaffe and passage. He is also a giant teddy bear in the barn, earning himself the nickname “Ger Bear”. He is a friendly and kind horse who loves his people time. Alyssa bought him from Red Wagon Farm and started him under saddle when he was coming 4 years old. When he was 5 years old, Sharon Mace saw him and fell in love with him, buying him when Alyssa had no plans to sell him. Through the generosity of Sharon Mace, Alyssa and Geronimo R were reunited towards the end of his 6 year old year, and Alyssa is forever grateful to Sharon for returning “Gerry” to her.
In 2018, Geronimo R was USDF Reserve Horse of the Year at Thirdl Level with a median of 73.558%. In 2019, he will competed in Prix St George and Intermediate I, finishing the year ranked #4 in the USDF Horse of the Year standings. In 2019, he was also USDF Region 6 Reserve Champion at both Prix St Georges and Intermediate I.
He is currently ready to start his show career at Grand Prix, and it is really exciting to look forward to the future with this immensely talented horse. He is a powerhouse and a really exciting horse who also happens to be an absolute joy to ride and be around.
